After a long overdue major sort out of my photos on various tablets, computers and SD cards that have been sitting there for years, I have finally started to arrange them out into one location Currently up to 10,500 pics, but I am finding photos I had forgotten about. This is one from 10 years ago at Niagara Falls Kite Festival, a club made kite, very nice I will post others as I find them.

He's not flying just posing holding the handles Greetings It's difficult now to recall who, at the time, I was actually teaching; over the years I have passed on my skills to so many embryonic rev flyers. I believe it was one of those lads from the Carpenters and Joiners display team... no the Painters and Decorators that's it, I was teaching him the reverse radical schweitger. Dave is quite right, it was in fact my friend Eric that taught me the trick in the first place so I cannot claim credit for it. Regards Dick.

I thought the radical schweitger was a manoeuvre performed with a remote control helicopter? Greetings Kitists, A big thank you to Roy & Marilyn for arranging the Winterfly at Aldershot. It was a most enjoyable weekend and nice to meet up with old friends again. I think that I can claim in a modest way to have surprised a few of the weekenders when I demonstrated to them the Inverse Hohnlich Pass, I do believe that one or two of them believed that it was all bullsh*t but I suppose that seeing is believing and some people just have to ‘see the holes’. I am reluctant to self promote but in an effort to dispel the myth amongst the non believers attached is a photo of myself performing the said act! I should add that as difficult as it looks it can be learnt by anybody, as my mentor Eric said, “If I can teach you I can teach anybody” and that is true. Eric has of late been trying to teach me a more advanced manoeuvre known as ‘The Radical Schwitger; ’ Eric learnt the trick from an Austrian flyer but I have to admit I am a long way from mastering it! Best Regards Dick

I thought the radical schweitger was a manoeuvre performed with a remote control helicopter? Greetings John It's quite different, the kite manoeuvre is the radical schweitger whereas the helicopter trick is the radical schwitger, there is no relationship between them. I think John you may be getting confused with the Hohnlich pass a more advanced move but again Austrian in origin albeit Eric my good friend did simplify it quite a bit to enable me to instruct those somewhat less talented. Regards Dick.
