With regards to using it on the plane then I would err on the side of caution and adhere to the no-smoking rules. With regard to your paraphernalia abide by the liquids rules and pack your liquids in <100ml containers and tank in a clear plastic bag and put the rest of your e-cig in your hand luggage then at least you can use it whilst travelling otherwise pack it all in your hold luggage. I don't see why you should have any problems

A guy on the aircraft back from Madeira in March started vaping, and was very soon asked to stop Like Guy says, liquid in a bag, and put your vaping gear in the tray at security.

No, it was not me I think you could get away with a stealth vape, inhale, do not exhale, then a large inhale again, and hardly any vapour comes out This combined with my coffee e-liquid, vaped when they serve coffee, who would know Must be steam from my coffee if asked

I have heard of a couple of airlines that sell e-cigs to their passengers although i don't know which ones they were, they were sold off the trolley and were being used apparently, but you could ask the airline if they have a policy on ecigs and see what they say, or just wait n see - do they have smoke detectors in the bogs on airoplanes ;-)

Best thing to do is contact the airline you are flying with, some will let you vape, some will not
And there are smoke detectors in the toilets

Don't say nothing just be discreet doing it they can only tell you to stop if you get caught and I don't think the valour will set off the smoke alarms it might if you used dave Mitchell's though I was discreet in the hospital and got away with it

Hi everyone
I am flying next week and I have phoned my airline, vaping is not allowed on flights but I don't really understand there liquid rule, can I take the average bottle of e- liquid with me? If yes how and where should I put them? How many bottles can I take with me? And what should I do with the rest battery, chargers, tanks etc?
Cheers Jamie

I would put a 10ml bottle of e-juice in a clear 20cm x 20cm sealable bag, 1 atomiser and battery for your hand luggage, and anything else you wish to take in the hold luggage Taking liquids through securityThere are restrictions on the amount of liquids you can take in your hand luggage. If possible, pack liquids in your hold baggage (luggage that you check in).If you do take liquids in your hand luggage then:containers must hold no more than 100mlcontainers should be in a single, transparent, resealable plastic bag, which holds no more than a litre and measures approximately 20cm x 20cmcontents must fit comfortably inside the bag so it can be sealedthe bag must not be knotted or tied at the topit is limited to 1 plastic bag per personyou must show the bag at the airport security point

Just going back to smoke alarms they should never be set off by vaping unless the smoke alarm is optical (activated by smoke blocking the light cell) and you're blowing vape straight into it from zero distance. The other type of smoke alarm is set off by smoke particles and shouldn't go off at all with vape. Having said that though I've been in plenty of hotels and buildings with smoke detectors and never once set it off...up to now
