I always fancied putting my LED kite in the front window at Christmas, but it is way too large. I found these on Amazon, and as they run on 24v, I should be able to use them at Kite festivals on 1 6s battery, or 2x 3s batteries in series in the Motorhome windshield. Amazon Link

Currently unavailable: We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock. Keep checking over the next week, it said this the other day for about a 48hour period, then they reappeared at £17:49 Forgot to mention, if you do get any, they also need some small sucker type clips Clips from Amazon
If you can find metal ones it would be better, they are very brittle and I broke about 4 just fitting the net.

Received mine and its now in the front window looks very effective. Dave did you get round to running it off batterie. Could these be put on a kite or would the batteries be to heavy. I mounted mine on a length of strong wire made it into a loop and threaded it through the loops and just hung it on a fine cord.

Until I have it working, I am not sure what is the smallest / lightest battery combination that could be used for a few hours of power.

The transformer plug has an output of 24v AC...

Yes, as an electrical engineer, I know it shouldn't matter IF the input to the controller is rectified straight away. But what if it DOES use ac for anything??? I tried investigating but the input/output leads, all 11 (ELEVEN) are stuck together and to the circuit board and to the inside of the case with a large blob of glue, I suspect applied with a hot glue gun, so I am unable to look at the back of the pcb to find out.

I had not spotted at christmas it was AC, without glasses all I saw was 24V It may be easier to use the inverter Just plugged it in for a couple of minutes, seemed to pulling approx 0.4 amps on the inbuilt meter.
