Where will the new kitists come from that will keep clubs and events like the Jolly Up going? Isn't putting on a show at events like the Hop Farm important to keep attracting new people to the sport?

I quite agree Jelv, attracting new kitists is important, and events like Hop farm should help, but if the lack of attendance from regular fliers might jeopodise any Kite Festival or normal kite event then I personally would choose to support the latter. On a side note, not saying Hop Farm, as I have only been there to RC events , it appears a tendancy at some of the shows for the kites to get pushed to a far corner out of the way of the majority of the public.

Sadly it is not possible for me to do either, as it is my turn to work that weekend so i might just attend the Hop Farm as a day visitor. Weather depending!

Wet day at the hop farm. But we flew a few kites until a squall made its way across the downs. Good to see a number of people have travelled a long way to be there. So particular thanks to all from EKG and Martin and Mike from even further and of course not forgetting Collin.
