The tautline hitches shown on this site are slightly different to the knot I've used in the past and described above: the final loop/hitch I use is the same way round as the original loops, so it looks like a lark's head with extra turns on one side. The tautline might be better, as it puts a slight kink in the standing part of the line, locking it more securely

Sussssh....do not shout in the Graveyard, plenty of people on/in here as their souls are registered and they do pop their heads out of their graves most days but what with rigor mortise set in, they are flipping lifeless.....I feel a major gripe coming on!

Must try some of these knots, but I have used the cut off 'arms' of a servo horn with suitably drilled out holes to make 'bowsies' as I used to have on model yachts for rigging tensioning. Light weight and efficient!!!
