I put the model number on the net as I know nothing about these and it came up as being sold on Amazon and that's the cost that came up. How much are they? I have not got a clue as to what they cost so come on Dave spill the bean's we won't tell the wife honest

Yea I think for convenience Its a great package, costly at £850 but if you want straight out of the box performance you gotta pay for it. I ended up building my own F450 for £160 minus the RC gear which I already had. I can mount pretty much anything on it including my gopro3 on a gimbal with Wifi allowing me to do the same sort of thing with my android phone. The trouble is it eventually will all add up to about the same price as the DJI, £250 Gopro, £140 gimbal, £160 quad, £70 RC gear plus batteries etc you're getting close to £700. The only thing I'm missing right now is the skill level with a Quadcopter. I'm good with aircraft but quads have taken me a bit longer to get up to speed with. I've got a nice little syma X1 which is a great practice quad. Once I'm happy flying I'm going to maiden my 450

Edit: Just checked because I thought I had read it somewhere, would guess GoPro Wi-Fi with any RC Transmitter/Receiver would be a no go because of similar frequencies. "There are so many warnings plastered all over DJI's instructions, Wiki pages as well as tons been written about the dangers of using the Phantom with a GoPro that has WiFi enabled there is really no excuse for flying one with it on !"

This is the kit I have: Comes with a kk2.0 controller which works very nicely (obviously no gps but it levels out great). The motors are ": DYS Multi-rotor 800kv, 250w Brushless motors" I've also invested in a mobius 1080p mini camera with all the FPV leads and got small car reversing monitor to make an FPV screen. just gotta find a decent rx/tx for it. The Mobius actually craps all over my Gopro, it's probably the best video camera I've ever seen or used and I own Nikon, canon and Gopro3. For £45 it's a little hard to believe just how good it is, If I hadn't of brought my Gopro3 when they first came out(before I got into quads) I would never touch one now. Chinese 'keychain' cameras are just superior and much much lighter. Obviously they're not waterproof but I'm not flying a submarine either Mobius review incase anyone is interested.

Sounds all good, what GoPro 3 do you have ? I have a 5.8ghz 500mw Video Tx/Rx that will be up for sale shortly if that would suit you for starting ! Same as this one with the patch antenna

I've got a GP Silver Dave, should of got the black I guess but in hindsight I kinda glad I didn't. I dont think any are worth the money unless you go diving, surfing etc. A mobius with 120degree glass on it is just as good for anything other than water or heavy shock related activity's. I'm not sure what I'm going to do for the RX/TX right now as I've not even flown the 450 properly yet other than a few hovers. That's a powerful setup though, 500w should keep it well in range

DJI released today an excellent PDF pilots guide for practice and flying could be useful for you Seems about the best thing they have ever written Pilot Training Guide
Quite impressed with that little camera you bought, compared against a GoPro Black below, colours are a little saturated at times, but truly amazing for the cash. vimeo.com/79451007#at=0

I just put the new .59 firmware in my mobius Dave and the colour saturation bug has been sorted, its looking very nice now along with its lowlight performance which has been improved. They must bring out a new FW every month, a bit different than Gopro's updates lol. Apparently in the next update they're going to give you manual control over all the colour and lighting aspects if you want to use it!

Looks better saturation, great camera DJI are about to launch there own Wi-Fi camera, not great spec but interesting being Wi-Fi to iPhone or Android, and in theory should be cheap. !!! 720p HD 30fps Digital Zoom Might be able to use it for KAP
