One for your diary, October 9th to the 12th to play our part in (click) www.lightupthesky.org.uk (LUTS) on Saturday 10th evening and (click) www.osow.org.uk (OSOW) on Sunday 11th. Camping at Sumners Ponds as usual. If you wish to fly with other club members, Brighton will holding a OSOW fly in on Devils Dyke on the Sunday too.
Damon, can you find your way to Roy's field? Maybe Dreamcatcherwolf can post directions as he has also arranged an event for that weekend ;D ;D ;D Sorry Roy...I will obviously be here! Good luck

Full details of the Basingstoke LUTS and OSOW is at www.northhantsbuggy.org.uk/9luts.pdfAnyone is welcome, but I realise that a number of our Weekender friends live nearer to Sumners Ponds than our neck of the woods. It's just that we were a little fed up with the Saturday night washout last year Do have a good time without us, we'll just have to see who can raise the most for Children in Need See you next weekend at Sumners

Just one week to go... Don't forget, Cliddesden is also hosting Light Up The Sky and One Sky One World the same weekend if it is nearer and you don't want to travel to West Sussex... let me know if you will be coming. Have a good time at Sumners!

Our numbers at Sumners Ponds may well be swelled by the Brighton Kite Flyers making this their 'official' OSOW fly-in instead of Devils Dyke....should give you a run for your money Martin! What times are you making your count?
Having attended both events in years past, although a shame they all HAVE to be on the same day (means one less weekends camping) at least it will allow more people a local event to participate in.

Just got the OK from Sumners Ponds for all those that requested coming on THURSDAY 8th. Come on down!
Fireworks, BBQ, Night lights and 500ft clearance for ( possibly ) the last camping event of 2009, weather predictions say drizzle, luckily during a couple nights only, do we care?

"Mainly dry with sunny spells"
That was the forecast for the weekend at 7.30 am this morning, but yesterday we saw some record breaking rain come down here in the SE....I intend going to Sumners Ponds at some point today, BUT am taking precautions in case the forecast has got it wrong! ;D ;D ;D

I got Simon's email at about 5:45 on Thursday morning.
Our plan was not to go to Devil's Dyke, but to join you all at Sumners Ponds on Sunday so that we can check it out for next year, when finger's crossed we should be out of the tent.
However we have hit birthday party season for Bon-bon's friends and she has parties on both Saturday and Sunday, plus family members have announced they are stopping by for Sunday lunch on their way back to the RP so both our original plans and my secondary plan of going to either Rougham or Peterborough on my own have gone by the wayside.

Tis like a Sumners day here at the Ponds! After a foggy start the sun and wind came out to play, as did we, and its a remarkably hot 60 degrees at 12.30!
