It sounds like you had good weather & a good time. We briefly poped into the Jolly Farmers at Cliddesden on our way back from Zommezet. They stopped serving food at 3 so we went to find lunch elsewhere. We didn't go upto the field. Plenty of kites up, despite the drizzle.
Hope you all had fun.
Cheers,

Thank you everybody that came and made the weekend literally go with a BANG! Not the best flying conditions most of the time but ALL of us managed to fly a kite or two over the weekend….even the non-kite flyers!
LUTS was a non starter, no wind at all, thanks Keef for the extra fireworks that lit up the sky instead, and Trashman who explosively trashed the cow field!
Not the big turnout as anticipated for OSOW and I counted 18 flyers that flew a total of 102 kites during the course of the day, we never set a time for the count, just a tally at the end of the day.
Again thanks to those who came here and it would be nice to see reports of how others fared at their respective events over the weekend. Thanks Greenman for his report, and Dalien for some great photo evidence!
Four campers stayed on the Monday and we had the best weather of the weekend, hot, sunny and windy! We had to drag ourselves home at 5.15…quite depressed it was the last organised kite weekender of 2009!
BUT STAY TUNED, ANY SPUR OF THE MOMENT WEEKENDER EVENT WILL ONLY BE NOTIFIED ON HERE!!
