Been on Flag Beach flying Rev and Skydancer. Disaster struck and I've broken centre spar on the Skydancer. Anyone bringing theirs? Have you got a spare I can use?

Greetings Kiteists 1 day to go!This mornings excitement level is.....fever pitch. We all have our favourite kites and we all have very different ideas of what makes a really great kite, this kite appeared on the beach in Fuerte. in 2007 but has not been seen since, it is a train made up of twenty circle box kites, a kite designed by Rainer Hoffman, each kite is about three feet in diameter, it's impact in the sky was just breathtaking. Undoubtedly for me personally one of the very best kites I have seen flying anywhere. The three little pigs are interesting they were pegged out in the lee of a sand dune where there was zero wind and they were perfectly inflated as you can see. Closer inspection revealed that each pig had a small battery powered fan sewn into it's backside!....brilliant. Regards Dick.

Jill If it is what I think ie a short thick spar, I can make you one and bring it, would you tell me the rough length and diameter, I will bring a length of the appropriate carbon and a hacksaw blade. E-mail or text me. The caveat being it will fit in my suitcase. Regards Dick.

1 day to go.
Thinking of a song to go with the moment.
'Lets go fly a kite' - Mary Poppins - No everyony think of that.
so will try 'Tomorrow' - from the film 'Annie'
see you all soon. Roy and Helen.

Just had a nasty scare, borrowed a set of scales to check our baggage, and it weight in at '44' after he set it for Kgs.
Panic here till I tryed a 2 Kgs bag of sugar and that showed a weighed '4.4' which is the weight in Lbs.
Scare over.

Hi all,
Have a great time out in Fuerte. It looks like the weather is improving for the festival. Post loads of photos so that we can be properly jealous. Soak up as much sun as you can and drag some back for us hard working Brits.
We will try to keep the lights on while you are all away.
Live, Love & Laugh, everything else is a bonus.
See you all soon, Greenman

If anyone is thinking about a very last minute booking (i would if i could). Norwegian still have seats available on tomorrows flight, coming back next week. Round trip is £160. That's 3410 miles. Less than 5p per mile.
My bus into town costs £4.50 return. Its a 2 mile journey. That's over a pound per mile.
How come buses cost 20 times more to run than Airplanes? I just don't get how plane tickets can that cheap.

Stuck in traffic for 2 hours on the M11, but made it to Stansted in time for a beer this evening!
Both excited about the adventure, and looking forward to meeting some of you tomorrow.
Safe journeys folks. Andy & Christine Kitetravellers
