This year sees the 30th anniversary of the start of the Teston Big Kite Weekend, on Sat/Sun 12/13th August, at Teston Country Park, Teston Bridge nr Maidstone Kent.
Continuing the usual format of a gathering of like minded passionate kite flyers who enjoy socialising. As usual no programme of events, but every-one enjoying flying kites and mixing with the public to encourage kite flying.
Camping is from the Friday 11th to Monday lunchtime 14th August, as usual with suggested donation of £10 per pitch of up to 4 people, which goes towards the cost of the event. Look forward to as many of kite weekenders as possible coming along. A caterer has been booked for the weekend
Contact is via myself on here or via malcolmf@kentkiteflyers.com

Would have been nice to do another Teston, but Portsmouth takes priority!

Just a reminder that camping will be allowed from mid-morning on the 11th through to Monday 14th around mid-day Donation of £10 per pitch for up to 4 persons contributes to the financial outlay for the weekend.
On the flying days, there will be a strict no entering the field after 10.00 and no leaving until 5pm except in an emrgency and then you should contact a member of Kent Kite Flyers to arrange to be escorted off the field. All movement of vehicles should be at no more than 10mph with 4 ways flashing on vehicle.
Obviously as Portsmouth clashes again this year with Teston, some may have been lucky to obtaining camping on site at Portsmouth, but for those who have not and are not satying close to the event, why not come along and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of Teston, especially as this is the 30th year of the August Teston.

Just bringing this to the fore as a reminder. A caterer has agreed to be present, although it will not affect the majority of the kiteweekenders as you bring your own supplies. Look forward to your usual support for this event, which remembers Ron and Pat Dell, who commenced the event 30 years ago.

Thanks to those who came along and supported the weekend. Already made a request for 11/12th August 2018 with KCC for use of Teston Country Park
