Kent Kite Flyers have been requested by events co-ordinator to take part in a one day event celebrating wind power. It is anticipated that if it is considered a successful event, then it would become a regular at least one day event. This Country Park is still being developed, so as they say success breeds success, and if the park can provide proper arrangements, there may be a discussion about developing into a two day event. There will be no formal displays by teams who require a fee, but we are anticipating good support from all flyers especially those based in the South East.
An area has been agreed to be set aside for kite flyers, with the public being allocated a separate area.
To allow access for kiteflyers, and free parking Kent Kite Flyers will be issuing a vehicle pass to be displayed onto the flying area.
As you are aware one of the aims of the Kent Kite Flyers is to promote kite flying as a leisure/ sport activity, which all the family are able to enjoy.
We hope that fellow kite flyers will support Kent Kite Flyers by coming along to these local events which are accessible to the public
Please post a pm or contact Malcolmf@kentkiteflyers.com for a pass or comments

If any kite flyer who is not going to the Jolly Up and happens to be in the vicinity of East Kent, come along and have a fly at the above one day event. To be on site by 10am, kite flying commences around 11am and carries on to 5pm where we have height clearance of 1000 ft. If you are coming along, please do not park in the car park, but come round the roundabout and head towards the temporary visitor centr, where you should be met by a staff member or volunteer who will escort you at walking pace to the flying and parking area. please have your headlights on and 4 ways flashing when being escorted as it is through a children's playarea and bicycle hire shop. Please ensure that either I or someone has taken your registration number as the Country Park operates on an APNR system and we need to have your vehicle excluded so no charge/follow up fine is sent out to you.
