ANOTHER NOTE: Participating Kite Fliers at Bognor ! I received a phone call this morning from the main Police Helicopter Unit for the NOTAM I have in order for 1000ft height clearance this Bank Holiday. Please observe this, as they said they can be quite active in the area. Thank you 🙂 Greetings That's amazing, they must surely be the first aviators in the history of flying to have ever read a NOTAM! Regards Dick. I think that they do Dick: the Vulcan's last flight coincided with OSOW, and I had a 300ft hight clearance. They came out from Farnborough, and a direct route to their next waypoint, Popham, should have taken them the other side of Cliddesden to the JU field, but they flew straight at us, banking away as they approached the field to make Popham... Picture to follow, if I can ever finish my system upgrade correctly

At Brighton festival I had an interesting discussion with a Dreamliner pilot who also has his own small plane. He made some very disparaging remarks about "Sunday fliers". He showed me an app on his phone which he always uses before any private flight - entered flight details and it immediately popped up the NOTAMS on route. There really is no excuse!
