Bognor Regis Kite Festival will have a theme for the very first time, this year it will be "Save Our Seas" to go along with my previous idea of plastic bottles and kites, but mainly Ocean inhabitants. The Bake Off will also carry the same theme for the cakes and whatever else they do at a Bake Off Being a costal town, it is really to create a bit of awareness, more than trying to convert everybody to not use plastics in the next month or two, I am sure single use plastics will become a thing of the past eventually but certainly not for a few years.

A great theme. I have seen some of the pollution myself when I used to do a lot of diving. In Lulworth cove we had a training dive on underwater navigation, go in off the beach a dive down take a compass baring and swim out through the bay out into the open water. On the way out what I see made me feel sick there where 1000s of tins and rubbish, tons of it, just laying on the bottom. It was like swimming over a grave yard every thing was dead. I dived the same area the year before and it was living jewel with loads of fish and bottom life. Now, totally dead. That was a few years back god knows whats its like now. Recovered I hope.

Successful interviews held today for the extra traffic cones needed for the Kite Festival. I am sure this only happens in Bognor
