Brilliant... although that's not the way that I was taught to do applique. (How do you get an e with an acute accent?)

THIS is how I was taught: but I have never been able to make hot tacking work for me: I wind up with a hole through the material, but they are not stuck together Link from Iain Ball (Ferret)

Greetings Kitists, I really want to watch this video but the video is of such high quality that my internet connection is just not fast enough to stream it without constant pauses whilst it is buffering.
I tried early this morning but it still buffered, last night when I tried it was hopeless.
My only hope is at about 0200 hrs in the morning when my line is at it's fastest!
Regards Dick (slow in Norfolk)

Greetings Slow Dick, My heart is bleeding with your sad story of an inferior internet connection when compared to the rest of us at KW My good deed for the day is to direct you to this site, where you may download the video to watch at your leisure, I realise that the guy may have produced another one by the time the download finishes. Video is 297.7mb Mp4 savevideo.me/regards Good Deed Dave Attachments:

Dick, The video is in HD. At the bottom of the video window, press the HD. this turns the HD off (HD should now be grey). The video will download much quicker. Press play, wait 5 seconds then press pause. Wait for the grey bar at the bottom to get most of the way across then play.
Cheers, Greenman

Greetings Dave and Dave,
I did not realise one could switch off the HD; having done so it streams without problem. I have also downloaded it and watched it in HD with the download programme.
What a superb example of kitebuilding, how he gets the seamstick around the curves I do not know, I shy away from using it even on straight edges.
I also loved the video of Jose Sainz he has to be one of the very top flight applique artists, one of his kites was in the auction at Swindon, about three or four years ago donated by Marla (who described him as a sexy handsome hunk)!!
Regards Dick
