INTERNATIONAL KITE COMPETITIONS (IKF 2012, AHMEDABAD)
GENERAL RULES
1. Only 1 Kite per category per participant will be accepted.
2. The entry kite should be made by the participant himself / herself or it may be a co-operative kite with the active involvement of the participant in making it.
3. Entry by proxy is not allowed.
4. Kite should not be borrowed or purchased.
5. Kite should be capable of being flown.
6. The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
7. No protests will be entertained.
8. The Organisors or the Judges can make changes in the competitions and rules or even cancel / postpone the competition at any time.
9. The Organisation will NOT be responsible for any breakage or loss or injury to person or property or kite and material.
10. The conducting of competitions as also the results of the competitions will not be challenged in any court of law.
11. Entries will be accepted only upto 10:30 am on 10th January 2012.
Category:-1 Indian Fighter Kites -- Open to all delegates.
Rules:- 1) Kites should be made of paper & bamboo sticks.
2) Kites (Spine--Dhaddha) should not be longer than 24 inches (60 cms)
3) Design should be made by Collage technique i.e. cutting and pasting the joints, painting the design is not allowed.
Category:-2 Rokkaku Kites -- Open to all delegates.
Rules:- 1) The spine should not be less than 24 inches i.e. 64 cms. There is no upper limit.
Category:-3 : Snake / Cobra / Serpent Kites – Open to all delegates.
Rules: 1) The kite should be minimum 10 feet long i.e. 304.8 cms, including the tail. There is no upper limit.
Category:-4 Kite Train -- Open to all delegates.
Rules:- 1) The kite train should consist of minimum 91 kites and maximum 101 kites.
Category:- 5 Indian Fighter Kites -- Open to Female delegates only.
Rules: 1) The kites and the line for this competition will be supplied by the Organisors.
2) Each participant will be given a virgin kite which they have to bridle and prepare at the start signal and immediately start flying it without wasting time.
3) The participant will be disqualified if at any time while flying the kite it gets torn or crashlands.
4) The participants have to do all this all by themselves and no help is allowed.
5) The participants will have to fly all of the line given to them and the winner will be judged accordingly.
6) A fixed time limit will be announced at the time of this competition – for doing all the work like doing the holes for the bridle till all the line is released. Fastest Finger First.
