There's some photo's here: This is one of the friendliest events I've ever attended and we've already pencilled this one in for next year. Saturday was difficult as the wind was very strong. It was also from the East (coming over the town and the rugby club stand) so not the cleanest wind. But it was wall to wall sunshine. Sunday the wind was very light and variable, but apart from a couple of periods of 5 to 10 minutes when it thought about raining it was warm and dry. The wind however swung from Southerly right round the West and then North West (one shift was over 90 o in the space of 5 minutes) which caused great fun for Avon as they had to keep moving the stake point for their big kites. At one point they had three Mantas in the air at the same time along with the big Gecko - the consequences of which can be seen in the photos (luckily there was no damage). What's great about this festival is that you can camp from Thursday to Monday (although we went down on Friday) and you camp overlooking the estuary.

So this is what it’s like eating a free meal that someone else has cooked!! It’s normally me cooking up something in the kitchen somewhere or other, to bring to the table!
This was the FIRST time that someone else had taken the time and put in the effort to share their information with everyone else by adding an event to the calendar, starting a new thread, reporting updates from onsite, posted a report after the event and sharing their photographs and links too…… as I could not attend (skint!) it was informative to see and hear how much I missed. I enjoyed looking down the throat of this ‘gift horse’ its normally me feeding it from t’other smelly end!!!.
BLOODY WELL DONE JELV, & THANK YOU.

Does anyone know how to lock Facebook users out of photos on Webshots? - 'cause that's what they bloody deserve!
I'm getting pig sick of people posting links to private photo collections - especially when it's so simple to check that you've got the permissions right by using a second browser.
If you are not going to make your photos public don't post a link on a public forum!

Alan,
Is there any reason why you haven't made your photo's public?

Yes....I paid him not to go public - he doesn't have a wide angle lens, and my bum does not fit in the photos...Exmouth was incredible - my nose is on it's fourth layer of skin....Margam even better...going to be a real down going back to work on Wed...just want to go up the hill by us and fly kites....
Crewing for Sky Symphony was a real treat at Exmouth - those guys are so professional, but so much fun to be with, and Roly the Whale has (for the second time) beaten even Santa's muscles into submission...
As I type (3pm 5th June) there are still kites in the sky at Margam. Also a zebra in the castle, with a man in tights - but that's another story! Hee hee, Mad Pix and Santa!
Thinking of giving up work but would need to find free diesel supply to get to kite festivals....!

C2LLN.
I don't use FB. Reason? A work collegue asked if I ever heard from an old girlfriend of some nine years duration a few months back. I stated "No". He said was I interested to find out about her and again I said "No" and left it at that as I know she's all secured down on FB. Hmmmmmmmmmm. A quarter of an hour later her pictures appears on my PC with her new boyfriend! How? My collegue just circumvented the security and sent them to me!!! Couldn't believe it. Yes, he's good, but so are hackers. Now if Mark Zuckerberg (FB Head Honcho) who is notoriously shy with his pictures and business finds he had been hacked and posted his private pictures on-line as they did what chance for normal mortals? Paranoid? Me? Must go now as it's at least two days since I swept the room for electronic 'bugs' lol.
