Considering Dunstable is such an amazing place to fly with beautiful views and offered free camping over the weekend, just 3 of us braved the facilities offered. Saturday was cold, wet and not particularly pleasant with very little wind but the invited flyers went through their routines and entertained us (well me mostly & Joe's mum as we were the audience!). Just the hardy came and stayed and the weather was 'orrible at times but when hasn't it been this summer!! The night fly didn't happen as the wind disappeared and we couldn't get anything to fly. Dunstable had offered us hardstanding at the Farm so we spent a very cold night being blasted by rain but we drove back to the car park early Sunday and made breakfast up there. Sunday was brilliant. We had sun and steady wind and public and kite flyers alike came out to play. Brilliant day and my burnt nose proves it. All the horrors of a wet day disappeared and we all enjoyed ourselves. I can vouch for the burnt nose as I also got one and red forehead to top it off. Sunday as Jill said was excellent, so much great wind, loads of people and some great displays. However, I stayed at a local prem inn which had no bar.... words cannot express how I felt about having to sit in my room all evening! Someone did say that they had a pub not far away but it was called the 'Exotic dancing club' and that didnt sound that exciting if I'm honest. I'm just not into line dancing or tangos or any unusual dancing styles if I'm honest
