Thanks to White Horse for an excellent weekend: a train of 20 kites completed and bridled in just over a day. Yes, I know the sails were already cut out for us, but we were there to learn welding techniques. A 9" span extended wing Cody completed, bridled AND test flown indoors on Sunday, together with two miniature birds made, still awaiting bridles. OK, the Cody sail was printed, but again it was techniques: how to split bamboo, how to glue it to tissue without it wrinkling, and how to assemble the kite. And it looks fabulous. Again, many thanks to WHKF, but especially Dan Kurahashi, who showed us how, encouraged us, and made sure we got as far as we could over the weekend.
