Very much to my surprise, and within a few days after finding a few e-liquids I liked the taste of, the results sort of speak for themselves, and with not a great amount of effort on my behalf either. Friday - 1 Real Cigarette Saturday - 1 Real Cigarette Sunday - 0 Real Cigarettes Monday - None so far, and not feeling the need Another plus side for me, is my sense of smell and taste has almost doubled Will I get addicted to vaping e-cigs, quite likely but a much healthier option IMO

After taking delivery last Tuesday of the ego, i have not had a fag since then i gave all my smoking equipment away Wednesday, and not looked back since. I do not miss smoking just get a niggle between the bedroom and the front door in the mornings atm. I am confident that smoking is now a thing of the past and will be celebrating with the 3 amigos at Basingstoke over a small Rum and Orange. Well done Dave on your achievement, i bet Sheila is happy i know jane is and me the most! Are we having a vaping section?

I would not want to go what he went through, then I am lucky or just sensible I have never smoked I could never stand the taste or the smell. Good luck with it I hope you kick it. I used to do a lot of diving and we had a lecture from a surgeon who showed us pictures of lungs to demonstrate what happens when we went diving. The pressure of gases in the lungs etc he showed us a set of lungs from someone who lived in London all their life and there were some black marks in the lungs from pollution, then showed us a picture of a Coal minors lung who had died from the infection he got from working down the mines. Then he showed us a heavy smokers lung, christ you should have seen the bloody mess they were in they were black, there were far more worse than the other two put together. In the bottom of your lungs gathers a small amount of tar the sort you get on the beach which your body is desperately trying to get rid off on a continuos bases but cant because you keep topping it up. Good luck with your life I think your going to need.

Well done Bonefish, you'll start to notice the difference soon and your sense of smell/taste will come back which isn't always a good thing lol.
Turboman: I agree with everything you say, smoking is very very bad. But, ecigs are not anything close to being, every one of us who has transferred our smoking habits to them will benefit health wise. The fluid they use (providing it's a decent brand) is the same as they use in medical inhalers which is then laced with a very small percentage of nicotine, less than in a patch, gum or a manual inhaler I believe.
Although nicotine on is own can increase heart rate the lack of poisonous chemicals means we a) dont smoke cancer causing substances, b) give out fumes from passive smoking because its a vapour not a smoke so vaporizes the second it hits air and c) we don't stink of smoke.
It's so healthy and effective compared to smoking actual cigs that the European union is being pressured by the pharmaceuticals to ban it because it will cost them so much money from patches and meds if you get ill from smoking. People in the know already think the big tobacco houses are also putting stealth pressure on because they fear the ecig so much. Even my doctor was happy I'd changed to ecigs and said she hoped they'd get popular. I've converted almost all the smokers I know, yea it probably wont help us quit, but the benefits are huge and we owe it to our families etc to change our habits. However It certainly wouldn't of come en-masses via pressure or adverts of black lungs because the more people that rag on smokers for smoking the more they will resist.
As long as the EU dont get their way e-cigs could eventually wipe out cancer causing cigs from the UK, and that i think should be applauded.

I wish you the very best if luck with it and hope it helps you to kick the habit and improve your health Thanks turboman In the 8 weeks I have been vaping I have noticed my breathing is easier,I have also noticed my food taste soooo much better and most important of all is the fact my bank account looks a tad better.I want to smoke, but don't want to take in all the chemicals(around 4000) that are used during the tobacco making process,my e liquids contain food grade materials and I know what's in them(especially if I make my own)
