When I was kid rules were made to be broken, but I have never grown up I am still a big kid at heart, also I like to make my kite with what is available on the day be it a empty crisp packet Tesco bag , to me the fun is making it, flying it and taking part in the fun,
Life is to short to be serious, have fun.

Janus While I agree with what you say Danny, nonetheless, competitions have to have rules. I have tried to keep them as simple as possible while making things fair for the entrants: if you wish to go your way, who am I to stop you? If you can make a crisp packet fly better than anything else, you will just have to find a bigger crisp packet

SLED 7 was not run at JU 14, the weather was not suitable and there were only a few competitors. So SLED 7 will now be run at JU 15 August 2 and 3 2014. Courtesy of Harry Douglas, the prize for the best overall flyer (in my humble opinion, but I might ask for help in the judging) will be a GoPro Hero. Yes, you read that right!!! Rules are at www.roy-martin.co.uk/SLED and they have not changed. However, scrutineering and flying times have been brought forward to 11.30 a.m. and 12 noon, to allow for more time before lunch.
