Just got myself a new (second hand) kite that will take some getting down so I will have to get a decent pulley now!
If you have one you want to sell, know of somewhere to buy one or have a link to a site it would be much appreciated.....any info ASAP as I need to fly it!

Greetings Collin I would also strongly recommend the Petzl pulley with the metal roller not the one with the plastic roller it will not last ten seconds. One thing to bear in mind is that you will need a carabiner with symmetrically curved ends, if you use a standard one you will be pulling at an angle and they just don't work. The photo shows the difference. Also if the kite you are talking about has a huge pull I would heartily reccommend a whole car seat belt sewed into a big loop that way you can put it under the cheeks of your backside or across your back or two people can get into the loop and walk backwards to pull the kite down. Here is a link to a cheap crab that would do the job a treat, second row third across:- link

Thanks for all your links and advice, in the end I flew it today for the first time and there was very little wind so no pulley needed to get it down, but could have done with one to get it up for the photograph!
Its a Phil Scarfe 12 sq mtr Flame foil with two 35mtr tails!
