Hi all,
As you are possibly aware, my 3rd sublimation printer has decided to fail (Yet again)
Last week I gave it a £150 meal of new inks, but it now has decided to not even switch on anymore
I only have been printing just KW gear for the last couple of years, so this is starting to get very expensive for me,
no profit or even breaking even is one thing, but it is now personally costing me a fortune.
The ink manufacturer has helped me a bit with the wasted ink, and the supplier has given some free sublimation paper,
provided I purchase a new printer. (I have)
The only way I can make this work, at least for this year, is by using sublimation shirts that do not cost the earth to
purchase, and that I can order them from my normal garment supplier and save on the extra delivery costs.
Gildan have now entered the sublimation T-Shirt market, which I have always found them to be good value for money
on other garments, so I ordered a T-Shirt to look at.
It seemed quite nice, but they are about 20% lighter in weight than the Vapour Apparel, which I thought a thinner shirt in
Fuerte should not be to much of an issue.
Prices would be the same as last year, and those attending the Bognor Regis Kite Festival
could collect, others will be needed to be shipped at cost.
If everyone is happy, I will order them in
(I have orders for 19 so far)
I will make some more normal KW clothing and items for next season, and would be grateful for
support from KW members to make this feasible for the future, I am not wanting to make money,
just to break even would be nice LOL
