Wallace and i nipped off to Brinon for thier second kite fest and were knocked out by the friendly atmosphere, we were fed three times a day ,entertained in the evening, the Dutch boys, made the trip ,Graham Jackson and Mike Harrison made the shlep to get there well worth the effort ,the sun shone all day each day, full on manja competition, two altitude sprints ,i won one with a mega Mac and came a close second in the other. there were people queing up to be shown how to fly fighter kites, Wallace was the centre of attraction once the local women found out he was my dad, there were not many occasions that he wasn't flying or teaching without any french lingo to speak of ,well done wallace, the return journey though not without its wrong turns was far better than the outward run,we arrived at Ruislip at 4.00am and he still had 2 hours to get home. ps im interested in going to the Ruislip kite fest Dick mentions.

The Ruislip kite fest sounds brill, it could not be more local to get to and fighter kites to boot, a double whammy in fact but alas its Kates birthday so im Plymouth bound that has more pull with me than even a Megamac.
