I have calculated a total of £227.91 received as donations to Great Ormond Street Hospital to date. PLEASE tell me if you donated and I have not added you to the list as I think I have put down every single penny collected to date.
As the end of the season is approaching fast, does anyone have any more ideas on how to increase that total for this year? Last year we collected £400.
There are not many trees at the upcoming Portsmouth kite festival, but a lot of kite fliers and public...... ;D so any ideas?

Best of three kite fights - loser pays £5 as we did at Sumners last year.
Kite setup and lessons service for Joe public - if I had a £1 for every time I reversed a dihedral

C2lln please put me down for a £5 as I have had at least that much worth of tree interaction this year, involving my kites being flown by other people, please come and Mug Me at Portsmouth, I will be there with Alan on Sunday.

Forgot to mug Keith at Portsmouth, there is always a next time ... there is no running away from me now ... £10 to GOSH was donated by Phil and Paul Parsons for this kite rescue at Portsmouth, they volunteered to make a donation without a hesitation or ‘its not a tree’ and I never asked for a penny, they said there were TEN kites at one point, before I got there! Although they do not come on the forum, they made a lot of donations last year to GOSH for kites they flew into trees and heard there was a penalty and put in! Well done guys.......
Les sold some anchor ‘strops’ to Derek and that raised another £20, received with thanks fellas.August: Sumners Ponds 6, Kevin £1 August: Portsmouth, Phil & Paul £10 August: Portsmouth, Derek/Les £20August: Sumners Ponds 7, Baz £1 August: Sumners Ponds 7, Collin £1 August: Sumners Ponds 7, Dick £5 August: Sumners Ponds 7, Bow £1 August: Sumners Ponds 7, Dave H £1*CF £227.91 + £ 40.00 New Total £267.91

Dad, can I have that GOSH collection box...
Why?
I thought we could go 'trick or treeting' and collect for the GOSH charity...
Well that was around 7pm this evening....and they returned at 8.30pm.....
NOW THAT'S WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT !!! Nothing to do with me what so ever, on their own initiative Sabrina, Lucia, Marney and Dan collected £70 !!! from generous households in our immediate area....[/color]
Racked with guilt now, I WILL rethink my Scrooge like ways for next Halloween, if kids are going to make an effort, then why shouldn't I? Although they met others like me (ex-Scrooge) the vast majority were only to willing to donate and they had a great evening out there doing their 'stuff'.
Thanks Paul & Dan, with your pledges the total looks like this:
*CF £267.91 + £90.00 TOTAL £357.91
