Hi its been a while for me I'm still around.. Just remembered I hadn't booked parking or car hire .. this has been the latest I left to book.. But all done and at a good deal compared to previous years
parking for 10 days cost £40 a lot cheaper than previous.. car hire from cicar £120 think that is cheaper as well
so all I need now is November to arrive see you all on the beach..

On a different note has Ferti changed its flag in the last decade. I have a distant memory it used to be a castle with anchors.

On a different note has Ferti changed its flag in the last decade. I have a distant memory it used to be a castle with anchors. Greetings John Fuerteventura has no official flag under the strict rules of Vexicology, the Island commonly uses this one here: flagspot.net/flags/es-ic-fv.html#mun I personally have never seen it anywhere with the coat of arms on it, just the plain green and white bicoloured version. The Canary Islands has an official flag of it's own, the link to it is on the same page, the blue white and yellow flag with the two dogs. The official national Spanish flag is flown on government buildings and at the army barracks in Puerto del Rosario. I do not know what flag you are thinking of and I have tried to find one as you describe but have failed, but that means nothing, every region in Spain and every region in just about every other country on the planet has it's own flag (even Norfolk) official or otherwise; mostly otherwise. Regards Dick.

It's the flag of the Isle of Wight I must have got it when I went a few years back, found it at the bottom of the kite bag.Its amazing what one can find in a kite bag if you dig deep enough.

Greetings Kiting Fuerteists The weather is pretty miserable here; time to start thinking of warmer climes, with that in mind I have sorted out some kites to take to Fuerte. I can feel the excitement levels starting to build, I must try not to peak too early! Regards Dick.

SO ARE YOU GOING TO TAKE SOME REAL KITES OR JUST THEM CHILDREN'S KITES Greetings My Dysfunctional Pirate Friend Children's kites only. I seek to promote the message that 'real' kites fly on their own and have "sticks" in them to give them form. There will be no hanging gas bags in my Fuerte. suitcase! Regards Dick.

Congratulations Nearly Ready Dick, What an amazing collection of ripstop covered sticks you are bringing to Fuerteventura, I presume that will be your whole series of 10 kites, one for each finger for you Norfolk-folk. I was particularly taken by your attention to detail on labelling your creations with "Fue Ready" can you not actually spell Fuerteventura, or even just Fuerte perhaps as a second option ? regards (just taking Jelly Kites) Dave

Hi All, Countdown has begun for the 30th Kite Festival.
Yvonne and myself made waistcoats for the 25th special year, unfortunately I am unable to source the 'free' material now.
So it was suggested at Margam that we wear Union Jack Bandanas for this celebration.
