As Sarah was good enough to check and confirm dates for next years kite festival here they are 9th November 2017 - 12th November 2017I feel it would be nice to have a kite fliers get together and evening night fly at the Waikiki on the Saturday evening, having it on Tuesday this year seemed a little late, due to some of the fliers had already flown home and some were preparing to fly home the following day. Being the 30th festival, it would be great to make it an extra special one There is also a Facebook page started by Christian Hartmann Fuerteventura Facebook Event Page

Greetings Fuerte Kiteists
I have just checked Norwegians flight schedule for November 2017 and the flights to Fuerte. have been released. I suspect they were released today.
They are flying Wednesday and Saturday again and the slots are the same as last year (this year) ie 1415hrs outbound from Gatwick and a late flight back. The price is also just the same as last year ie £109.00 including hold baggage (20kgs) Again like last year there seems little if any chance that any other operator will beat these flights on price alone but I think I might well wait until easyjet releases their schedule and see what days and times they have on offer as I suspect although a little more expensive the timings and days will be better, last year Easyjet released in April and flew to Fuerte. every day of the week.
Jet 2 have also released their schedule and although they fly from Stansted (and several other airports) which suits me much better, the price is double!
Regards Dick.

Hey Happy new year to all fellows fliers being the 30th thought I would get in early booking this year trip. I'm all done I've booked the hotel already, next pay day I will be booking my flight I've checked with Thomas cook and they have already released their flight time table.. They fly out Wednesday at 0945 in the morning and on Saturdays 1010 in the morning. Haven't looked at others yet as they fly out to late for me, loosing a whole day of you holiday traveling no sorry no for me. Would pay that fraction more for those extra hours of holiday time..
Anyway you all have a good one will see you all very soon in the middle of a field somewhere ..
actual just looked at the Norwegian and the prices are the same but with Norwegian you leave I the afternoon at 1415 loosing all that time in the sun. no thomascook all the way..lol..

Greetings Fuerte Kiteists I felt this e-mail which I have just received from LowCostRoutes.com may well be of interest to those who are awaiting the release of the Easyjet flights for November this year to Fuerte. Regards Dick. Hi Dick Abbs, Easyjet has announced that they will release the flights from 29/10/2017 till 04/02/2018 on 23/03/2017. Since you have set a Flight Alert for the flight LGW - FUE for 05/11/2017, we advise you to be prepared to book it on 23/03/2017. Easyjet has not announced the precise time of the release. They have only communicated the date. The last 10 major releases happened during the night or early hours (between 23:47 - 07:13 UK time), but not all the flights were available at that time. Some flights were released a few hours later, others (a very small number!) a few days later. LowCostRoutes.com will inform you as soon as your flight will be released, by SMS (if you have requested it) and by email. So keep your phone turned on and be ready to book the flights! Keep in mind that the last few releases were made in a tricky manner: the flights were not available among the regular search results from the first moment, but you could book them if you knew how to find them! This intermediary phase lasted for about an hour, so if you want to book your tickets asap, you probably want to learn how to do this and not wait until the flights are available among the regular search results, at a higher price! I provided a detailed explanation in the blog article you can find at goo.gl/1oI6CW . You can read it while you are waiting for the release!

(Would also like a pool if poss!) Many thanks Hi Kitesnballons, Welcome to Kite Weekenders There are not really any hotels that are in Corralejo, Fuerteventura that you can see the kites from the festival, with perhaps the exception of just one hotel, but it is really too far away and you would need a room in a good location. The festival is held on the sand dunes near the town of Corrajejo, and most kite fliers stay within the town at hotels that suit their budget. Lots of choice available, and nearly all would have a pool. A hire car is almost a must for the festival, the 1st day is held at El Cotillo on the other side of island. I am sure others will join in, but hotels I have stayed at are: Dunas Club (Nr Harbour) Atlantic Gardens Fuente Park Corralejo Beach Hotel Los Olas (Not sure it is there any longer) Dave
