Not sure what is confusing Trashman has been allocated a car pass for his vehicle, and would like to exchange it for a camping pass. Not likely to happen, as (a) Rocking horse sh@# is easier to obtain (b) They are NON transferable anyway. On a more serious note, I do find it very sad that a REAL kite flyer has to go to these lengths to try and fly and display the kites he has personally made, and also camp on-site at the same time. Something has to be seriously wrong if there are Holiday Makers found using these very sought after passes. Whilst I am on the subject, and you being the new BKF secretary did he not get offered one as a member of the BKF ?

Confusing? This is quite simple after a discussion with Martin Saturday he indicated that he was going to alter his arrangements to attend somewhere next early part year instead.
Holiday makers using passes? I quite agree but that is what the organisers have decided, then that is the end as far as i am concerned!
Whilst on the subject you are indeed correct me being the BKF secretary, but as you are not aware i was not at the last elected committee meeting where this sore subject was discussed, this was due to work commitments, so i am unable to clarify where the passes had been issued to BKF members that had applied !!!!
The one thing i am fully aware of that the person in question did not apply directly to the club, after 2 emails was sent out to BKF CLUB MEMBERS.
I hope this has gone some way to clarify things, and i wish to say that i am sad that both Roy and martin never got passes and neither wish to get dragged into a debate over this any further.

This is the first time i have ever applyed for passes as roy and hayley normally get them just that they were only issued enough for the green room staff this year This was not directed at you just that you were confused Three things make up a kite festival Kite flyers Public Weather If any one of these breaks down you do not have a festival Receiving a camping pass is like being paid to demonstrate you skills to the public it seems that a lot of those who have got passes do not even participate in this and just use this event or other events as a social gathering with no in tension of flying kites for the public

I for one would like to see both you and Caz at the festival because you are a kite flyer and a good kite builder! ;D Let's hope this is the end of it now !

Thanks for the clarification Boney, I was merely asking a question because of your role in the BKF, and was making an enquiry based on a question from a kite flyer that I was talking to last week on the phone. It just sprung to mind that maybe Martin could obtain a pass, being a member of the BKF, but as he never responded to the email, then he lost that double chance of getting one. Still hoping he gets a pass, it won't be quite the same without him

Surely all you need to do is meet up half a mile along the promenade and swap the caravan on to the rabbit hutch. The car could then be left in the car parking area on a car pass.

IF you want picking up I will tow your caravan to Portsmouth with my camper thus abiding by the ‘rules’ and permit for C2LLN ?
Looks like this idea is a non-starter. My pass arrived this morning and it says:

It would have been one rabbit hutch and a caravan But after measuring it up the only way the rabbit hutch could tow the caravan would be in a stright line
